Money Saving Ideas

With so many different beauty products available these days, it can get really expensive when wanting to try them all and we all know how the economy is going with these crazy gas prices.  With all this is mind, I thought of a few ideas that can help save money when it comes to beauty...hope you enjoy :-)

  • Vaseline as a multi-tasker.  This is one of the best eye makeup removers EVER and it is very gentle at the same time.  The product can also be used for dry patches and dry lips as well.  This is truly a must have beauty product!

  •  Instead of buying alot of separate makeup brushes, use Q-tips to apply eyeshadow and concealer.  They actually work really well, but you may want to use the actual Q-tip brand because some of the no name brands can get really fuzzy!

  • If you really, really must purchase makeup brushes, then purchase a travel kit instead of a full size.  They are a tad bit shorter, but who needs full size brushes anyway and they are significantly cheaper.  Sigma (http://www.sigmabeauty.com/default.asp) has some great travel kit brushes.

  • Eyeshadows can get really expensive when you buy separate ones.  Try keeping an eye out for a good sale on a palette.  The eye shadow shades are usually small, but you have lots of variety and you can even get these palettes with lipgloss and blushes.  Coastal Scents(http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm) have great palettes that are very inexpensive and ship to Canada.  Sephora brand  (http://www.sephora.com/) also has some great deals on beauty palettes.

  • Use Aussie hair products!!  I have tried $40 conditioners and I will tell you that the Aussie conditioners work just as good or even better and another plus is the AMAZING smell!!  All of their products are very inexpensive and awesome quality.
