My version of the Glowing Green Smoothie :)

Hey Beauties,

Let's see if I can get better at blogging :p....

Lately I've been creating smoothie's for breakfast.  I usually make them the night before and then drink them on my way to work.  We are all about preparation in this household and I can thank my Fiance for that.  When we first got together I used to laugh at how he prepared his food and even clothes for the next work day, but I do the same thing now...lol...and its the best!!!!

I have been using the Magic bullet to concoct a different variation of a green smoothie every morning.  I always use a cup or 2 of spinach or kale (switch them up every week), 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1 tbsp of plain Greek yogurt and then a variation of fruit.  My favorite is the Welch's frozen Strawberries and Banana's.  Oh and I also also been adding Chia seeds since I've been reading about the crazy benefits online.

Let me know if you give this a try!  If you're a beginner, you may want to go with only a cup or less of greens just to get used to it.  If you chose nice sweet fruit, you won't even taste the greens, but will gain all of the wonderful nutrition :)

Lots of Love, Crystal XOXO

  1. My smoothies are pretty much the same, except I add a scoop of vanilla protein powder and leave out the yogurt. I haven't tried them with kale though. I'm thinking of getting the bullet actually, since my immersion blender was confiscated at the airport.
Oh and for summer treat you should try this one: 1 tsp instant coffee, 1 cup unsweetened vanilla or chocolate almond milk, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (maybe a yogurt subsitute out there? like the mocha one from Liberte?), and about 5 ice cubes blended together. Tastes like an iced cap.
